N-Scale Steam Engines - Page 1 My interest in N-gauge is primarily in Steam Engines. I have over the years made for myself many different engines by cutting and splicing the various commercially available mechanisms back to-gether to produce the various wheel arrangements that were not commercially available in N-Scale at that time, but would be common wheel arrangements found on North American Railroads. My oldest conversions are almost 30 years old and still going strong. However they are a bit cruder than the things I have done recently.

	N-Steam-PG2 Some valve gear drawings and ideas on how to created these valve gears in n-scale and ensure they are robust in operation. Some conversions that I have recently built. A 4-6-0 old time engine from two Bachmann 4-4-0s, A streamlined Pacific from a remotored Atlas/RR Pacific with a boiler shell from a shortened Bachmann NW streamlined 611, and ConCor Hudson streamlined tender with power pickup, a 4-8-4 from a pair of ConCor Hudsons. The conversion of a Del Prado Static model of the CPR Royal Hudson to a powered model using a modified ConCor Hudson mechanism and tender floor, with Japanese C62 Hudson valve gear. To the conversion of a Baldwin built 0-6-6-0 for Japan that has been turned into a 2-6-6-2 with modifications to the pilot and a new tender.
	N-Steam-PG3 A family of Steam Engines, which I have built over the last 30 years. Some are for Canadian Railroads and others are for my Athabaska Northern.
