THIRD GENERATION

5. Alexander Roy Montgomery was born on 18 May 1893. He died on 23 Oct 1966. He was married to Clara Belle Tannahill on 18 Dec 1913 in Sawyerville Quebec Methodist Parsonage. Clara Belle Tannahill was born in 1895. She died on 27 Oct 1973.

On his return from the west he worked in the meat shop in Sawyerville until the family: Roy, Clara, sons Alton, Garth, daughter Beth and her baby all moved to Sherbrooke the summer of 1940. When they moved to Sherbrooke Roy worked for Ingersol Rand for about 15 years, then worked at Combustion Engineering Superheater until he retired. They had all planned to work in Sherbrooke but with the birth of Beth's Daughter, Bonnie, Clara stayed home to care for her. Both sons Alton and Garth, served in the RCAF during WWII. Roy and Clara are buried in Malvern Cemetery, Lennoxville, Quebec.

Alexander Roy Montgomery and Clara Belle Tannahill had the following children:
