He was married to Ella Victoria Jackson (daughter of John Jackson and Emily Ann Vernon) on 30 Nov 1898 in Coaticook Quebec. Mr and Mrs J.V. Jackson, former Magog residents who were prominent in the work of the Independent Order of Good Templars and Women's Christian Temperance Union for a number of years and who since 1926 have made their home in Pine Falls Manitoba were honoured by by over 200 hundred Pine Falls friends on the occasion of their Golden Wedding Anniversary on April 23. Mr Jackson is District Magistrate. A large reception preceded by a parade through the town, was held. Out of town guests included a son. D.V.Jackson of Montreal, Quebec, a grandson John and daughters Ann and Joan, Mrs. W. T. Wiggs of Thessalon Ont, a sister Mrs Amelia A Smith of Unity Sask. Dr. and Mrs. E.G.Bricker and daughters Ann and Joad, Dr. and Mrs. H. P. Leith and son, Garth, Miss Margaret Staines, Mrs P.A.Byers and Mrs. Roy Simpson. Ella Victoria Jackson was baptized in 1875 in Garden St Methodist Church by Rev G W Norris. She was born on 12 Aug 1875 in 54 Prospect St., Lawrence Mass USA. She died on 20 Oct 1960 in Unity Sask.. She was buried on 22 Oct 1960 in Pleasantview Unity Sask. Justin William Hamilton and Ella Victoria Jackson had the following children:
