Linwood P. Law, Liquor Dealer
A mass of Christian Burial for Linwood, Pierce Law, 37 of Williamsville, will
be offered at 9:30 AM Monday in SS. Peter & Paul Church, 5480 Main St. after
prayers in the Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, 5541 Main St.
Mr Law, owner operator of Hertzog's Liquor Store, 5231 main St. became an employee
of the store in 1960 and in 1973 purchased the business, which was founded in
1905 at Main near Allen Sts.
Mr. Law was a graduate of the Park Scholl and attended the University of Buffalo.
From 1957 to 1959 he served in West Germany with an Army Infantry Unit.
He claimed kinship with seven presidents - John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Zachery
Taylor, Franklin Pierce, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F
Kennedy.
Mr Law was a parishoner of SS. Peter & Paul Church, former secratary of the
Amherst Lodge F & AM, The Tonawanda Sportsmen's Club, Amherst Chamber of
Commerce, United Irish American Association of Erie County and the Greater Niagara
Frontier Council Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by two daughters, Caroline E. and Tiffany A., both at home, and
his parents, Mr and Mrs Linwood Law of Buffalo. the elder Mr. Law is retired
secretary of the Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce.
Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Williamsville. Linwood Law
had the following children:
