Scugog Island was in the Lake Scugog just off shore from Port Perry. Today Scugog Island is joined to mainland by a causeway which is Ontario Provincial Highway Number 7. The south end of the lake is a marsh today and is no longer navigatable. The Causeway goes east from Port Perry to the south end of Scugog Island across the island and continues on the other side of the island across the lake to the mainland to the east of the island, in the direction of Peterborough and Lindsay, Ontario.
John Solomon Tindall was born in 1900. He died on 14 Jul 1977. He was buried in Wildwood Lady's Aid Cemetery, Wildwood, AB.
