He was the proprietor of the "Fewson House", a boarding house at Chicago Junction, Surrey Co. VA USA. Robert was a sargeant during the Civil War fighting on the side of the North. After the war he moved to Virginia. he accused a black man of stealing from him, and shot him in the leg. The leg had to be amputated. A trial was held and Robert was sentenced to 15 minutes in goal. Apparently the goalers wiwn't even close the door fo te cell.

He was married to Emily Beers Dailey on 11 Feb 1864 in Greenfield, Huron Co. OH USA. Emily Beers Dailey was born on 7 Aug 1830 in NY USA. She died on 10 May 1920 in Claremont, SurreyCo. VA USA. Robert Fewson and Emily Beers Dailey had the following children:
