This line is not directly related to the Hamilton Line, but linked through a previous marriage of great grandmother Irene (Pierce) Hamilton. Irene was first married Ernest. R. Mayo and they had a daughter Eva. Eva married Egbert Cairns. Matthew Hamilton married the widow Irene (Pierce) Mayo. Eva is the half sister of my grandfather Hugh Hamilton. Eva and Egbert are our connection to Bernardston, MA.
